Creating an online persona is something that I am not really crazy about. People that I know get addicted to that stuff and it's not for me. I am too busy between trying to raise my GPA, baseball, and my girlfriend to have a whole second life on the internet. Personally I don't understand why people feel the need to put their lives on display for criticism and judgment from people they don't even know. If you look at any girls pictures and she looks good all the comments are from weird looking people saying " ohh whats up sexyy your beautiful when are we gonna meet". If someone sent my girlfriend a message like that I'd kill them. Myspace has ruined so many peoples relationships. To me, anyone that I want to know me, knows me in person.

Welcome to your Cyber-Comp blog!

You can use this blog as a journal where you can record your thoughts about this course, about college life, or anything in general. You will also use this blog for specific assignments that I will give you.

Your first blog assignment: What was your experience writing your in-class personal narrative, as opposed to creating an online persona on MySpace? What does it mean to be/have a virtual entity? What does it mean to be part of a global community?
